The magician is seen to be holding two bowls, one in each hand, staring at the sky as if praying to God for water. A little later it is seen that one bowl fills with water up to the brim. He drinks the water and once again looks at the sky for some more as his thirst is not quenched. Again one bowl fills with water and he drinks it all. The bowls are empty once again. The process is repeated several times and each time the bowls fill with water up to the brim. This could be a fantastic dramatic effect with proper sound effects, lighting and a bit of acting.
The original effect is done with ordinary bowls and requires a good amount of practice. However, in this mechanical version you get the same effect (and even more) but with much less practice. The special construction of the props even lets you show the bowl empty and the next moment full of water a feature not possible with the original version.
